Ganzouri Specialized Hospital (GSH) organizing a JCI accreditation & survey course with the help of Industry Modernization Center (IMC)

In October 2009, a delegation from  Ganzouri Specialized Hospital (GSH) attended the first training program and workshop to aid Egyptian hospitals to be qualified for the local and international accreditation under the auspices of the Chamber of Private Health care Providers(CPHP) and the support of the Industry Modernization Center (IMC) in co-ordination with Logistics Consulting and Development, and (JCI) Joint Commission International. This course was by the co-ordination with Dr. Ghada ELGanzouri

The attendances from the hospital:

• Dr. Ghada ElGanzouri - Member of the Hospital Board of Directors-

• Dr. Al Saied Galal - Director of the emergency unit and intensive care unit

• Dr. Laila Khashaba - Director of Nursing department -

• Dr. Nidaa Fouad Al Abed – Total quality manager

• Mrs Souad Mohammed – Supervisor of Nursing and Infection Control -

This training program is the first of its kind in the history of Egyptian medical care and JCI is considered to be the largest and first international organization that provides accreditation by placing global standards for hospitals all over the world. These standards deal with all aspects of providing services and programs. It includes several topics, first how to achieve patient safety, the best way to control the infection, risk management plan in the hospital, hospital waste disposal, and others.

The training program was attended by members of 14 private and governmental hospitals and a delegation from the Ministry of Health.

GSH is always keen to apply all medical standards for all its customers; we are in process to be qualified by the qualifications: ISO 9001/2008, 14001/2005 for environmental health & 18001/2007 for occupational and safety health.
